Quality Control

As MDI's products are perishable consumer goods, they require higher standards of quality control than any other products in other industries. This is especially true today with the increasing demand for quality food products and the ever changing international food safety regulations.

MDI's quality assurance programme is therefore a top priority.

All products are tested regularly at every stage of production. And MDI is confident that every product that leaves its factories conforms to the highest international standards.

For even more stringent quality control, MDI is one of the few companies that implements the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) - an internationally-recognised tool that identifies potential food hazards and recommends preventive measures for their control.

And thanks to their expertise and investment in technology, MDI has been awarded the ISO 9002 standard certificate.

Quality Awards

In 1994, MDI received the ISO 9002 certificate for Quality Management Systems in Production and Installation. In 2003, MDI's ISO certification was upgraded to ISO 9001:2000 Standard.

This was a major vote of confidence in its perishable goods under brands like Marigold HL Milk, Marigold Chocolate Milk, Vitagen, Marigold Peel Fresh and Marigold Yogurt Drink.

These awards affirmed MDI's commitment to quality. But MDI believes that it can still achieve and strive for more.

Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point is MDI's latest quality assurance tool, and is being implemented with the assistance of the Singapore Productivity and Standards Board.

HACCP ensures product safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process. And this brings all its products in line with the regulatory requirements of the USA, EU and other countries worldwide.

By striving for even higher quality standards, MDI aims to win a reputation for uncompromising quality.
